Recommended Apartment Buildings
I've been seeing a lot of people asking for and giving recommendations on apartment buildings and management companies in NYC.  While I'm not going to trash anyone unless I've had a personal experience with them, I will note some of the recommendations.  NOTE THAT I HAVE NOT RESEARCHED THESE RECOMMENDATIONS MYSELF unless noted.  If a building was personally recommended to me, or if I actually visited the building myself, I will note it.  Otherwise, believe nothing and do your own research.  Oh yea, you can also go to www.apartmentratings.com

Archstone Clinton at 52nd - recommended as a very nice building, mostly professionals.  But prices high for the size of the units.  Same person recommended Glenwood building.  Clinton building? or Clinton location?  also recommended.  It is also noted that they may accept tenants with lower incomes - no word on what that means or how lower income is defined.  Ok, found out that Archstone Clinton is at 510 West 52nd Street in Hell's Kitchen.  Manager is Archstone.  www.archestoneapartments.com  Ok an available studio at Murray Hill is $3,450 per month
Vanguard Chelsea. Word is that a one bedroom is over $3,000 per month and that rent increases have been reasonable.
